Close out your festival experience with an unforgettable journey into the heart of Oaxacan culture.
This exclusive road trip celebrates the iconic alebrije art form—
the world-renowned, intricately hand-painted animal sculptures carved from local copal wood.
Highly coveted by global collectors and recently showcased in New York City,
these masterpieces can take years of meticulous labor to complete.
Now, you have the rare opportunity to peek behind the curtain.
We will travel to the nearby village of San Martín Tilcajete for an intimate tour of the legendary Jacobo & María Ángeles workshop and gallery. You’ll see exactly how these mystical figures come to life, meet the master artisans, and enjoy plenty of dedicated time to shop for a masterpiece of your own.
Following our creative immersion, we’ll head down a rustic country road to discover Almú—an unexpected culinary gem. Nestled in a welcoming garden setting with an open kitchen and casual outdoor seating,
Almú will host us for a hearty, multi-course Oaxacan lunch.
There is no better way to wind down after a fabulous few days. Gather with fellow festival-goers, toast to new memories, and savor the rich flavors and colors of Oaxaca one last time before heading home.
Note: Spaces are limited for this intimate excursion to ensure an exclusive, high-quality experience at the workshop. Reserve your spot at checkout!
